Search, read, draft, and send email; view, create, and manage calendar events and reminders; and look up contacts — all through one connected account.
Lists
Create and manage named lists — shopping, to-do, chores — in plain conversation.
Schedules
Run recurring or one-off prompts on their own schedule — a fixed time, every few minutes, specific weekdays, or a day of the month — so Chalie acts on its own in the background.
Timer
Start a live countdown timer with a title — shows an in-chat card with pause and stop controls.
Weather
Get current conditions and tomorrow's forecast for a city or your current location.
News
Search news articles across global sources by topic or keyword, with category filtering.
Read image
Read and understand images — photos, screenshots, diagrams — even on models that don't natively support vision.
Custom skill playbooks
Create, edit, delete, and list your own step-by-step playbooks for recurring tasks — saved in plain conversation.
Places
Save, list, or delete named places — home, work, gym — so Chalie always knows where you mean.

Create or save a file
Create a new file or save content to disk — saves Chalie's output directly, rather than asking you to copy it. Reads an existing file first, so it never overwrites blind — and if that read only saw part of a large file, it stops rather than risk losing what it didn't see. New files land in your documents folder by default, unless you say otherwise.
Find and replace in a file
Swap one exact piece of text for another inside an existing file, leaving every other line untouched — a scalpel next to the full-rewrite Create or save. Refuses to guess: if the text isn't there, or shows up more than once, it stops and asks for something more specific instead of changing the wrong spot.
Create a folder
Make a new folder at an exact path, creating any missing parent folders along the way. Folders only, never a file — so asking for one can't quietly turn into an empty file instead.
Delete a file or folder
Delete a file, or a folder and everything inside it, at an exact path — folders are removed recursively. There's no undo, so the target has to exist and the path has to be right.
Change file permissions
Change the Unix-style permissions (chmod) on an existing file or folder using an octal code, like 0644 or 0755. The target has to exist first — this tool only changes permissions, it never creates anything.
Move & rename files
Move or rename a file or folder from one path to another. Refuses to overwrite — the destination must not already exist.
When it needs to reach further, you hold the gate.
These abilities act on your machine or reach across the internet. Each one runs only with your say-so — every ability carries its own Allow, Ask, or Deny setting in Brain, so the powerful things never happen behind your back.
Web search
Research something online — a focused subagent runs searches, reads the best sources, and returns a grounded answer with citations.
Image search
Find real images on the web for anything you ask — up to five results in a visual carousel, checked against your vision model when one's configured.
Web browser
Drive a real browser — navigate pages, fill forms, click buttons, and extract information from live websites.
Read a file or URL
Read and extract clean text from any URL or local file — web pages, PDFs, Word documents, presentations, and plain text.
Web download
Download a file from the internet — up to 100 MB — so Chalie can read or process it without asking you to fetch it.
Shell (bash)
Run shell commands directly — useful when no other built-in ability covers what needs to be done on your machine.
Search files
Locate files on disk by name pattern or by exact live content — finds the file before reaching for the shell. Can also run a fast, fuzzy search across a pre-built index that sees inside PDFs, Word docs, and slides, trading a moment of freshness for speed.
Coding agent
Delegate a coding task to a focused agent with its own persistent file workspace. It writes and runs TypeScript with full permissions — no sandbox — and scripts stick around so they can be reused, edited, or scheduled.
Programming docs
Search official documentation for 12 programming languages and 11 frameworks — so coding help is grounded in the real source.
UniFi network
Monitor and control a UniFi network — check device health, list connected clients, block or disconnect devices by name.
Connect MCP servers
Connect Chalie to a remote MCP server so its tools become immediately available as new abilities.
